Guidelines for the Establishment of Master Degree Exam Qualifications and Exam Member Qualifications Evaluation Committee of International Master Program in Marine Biotechnology and Environmental Ecology Sustainability, College of Life Sciences, National Taiwan Ocean University

Article 1 To evaluate the master's degree examination, the Program, in accordance with the detailed rules for the doctoral and master's degree examinations of the School, establishes Master Degree Exam Qualifications and Exam Member Qualifications Evaluation Committee of International Master Program in Marine Biotechnology and Environmental Ecology Sustainability (hereinafter referred to as the Committee), and formulate these guidelines.
Article 2 The committee shall have one chairman, concurrently served by the director of the Program; and four members mutually elected by the Program’s full-time faculty and the School’s co-employed faculty.
Article 3 The main duties of the Committee are as follows:
1. Examining the qualifications for the postgraduate degree examination for master's degree programs.
2. Review the qualifications of the master's degree examination committee members.
3. Review the "Application Form for Dissertation Plan" of graduate students in the master's program.
Article 4 The committee will hold a meeting when a graduate student in a master's program applies for a degree examination. The Meeting holds once a semester. When important matters, the chairman may hold another meeting.
Article 5 The Committee Meeting must be attended by a majority, and can only be resolved with the consent of the majority of attendees.
Article 6 If it is a non-controversial or time-sensitive proposal, it may be deliberated in written form with the consent of the chairman.
Article 7 Written meeting proposals must be reviewed and signed by at least two-thirds of the members, and resolutions must be approved by all members participating in the review.
If the proposal is not approved by all the committee members participating in the review, a new meeting shall be held for review.
Article 8 These guidelines shall be promulgated and implemented after being approved by the Program Meeting, the College Affairs Meeting and the Academic Affairs Meeting.
(In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese version and the English version, the Chinese language version shall prevail.)
